Montreal police say a 16-year-old boy was stabbed outside a school in Saint-Michel after a fight broke out between three teenage boys Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the incident happened just after 3 p.m. in front of Collège Rein-Marie, a private high school on Saint-Michel Boulevard near the Champdorre Street intersection.
The victim was stabbed in the back and face, according to police, but health officials say his life is not in danger and he remains in hospital.
An investigation is underway but no arrests have been made. A perimeter was set up around the scene for investigators to look for the weapon used in the incident.
Police say they will also review security footage from local businesses.
The victim is reportedly not cooperating with the investigation.
This is the second teenager to be stabbed outside a school in a week. A 14-year-old boy was attacked outside a high school in Anju last Friday.
