Abhishek’s visit to Shillong is believed to be for this purpose. Trinamool leader Mukul Sangma is currently the Leader of the Opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. Several leaders and MLAs, including Mukul, joined the Trinamool after defecting from the Congress. Apart from Meghalaya, Tripura also has an eye on Gasful.

Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev and former minister Rajiv Banerjee lead Tripura. But Tripura Trinamul leaders have invited Abhishek to go there too. So he can visit Agartala after Meghalaya. However, the schedule of that visit is not yet ready.
