adani group, exclusive deal between Ambani-Adani, employees of both companies will be ‘stuck’; Adani Group reportedly signs no-poaching agreement with Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries SEDI News

Mumbai : World’s third richest man Gautam Adani’s Adani Group has signed a ‘No Poaching Agreement’ with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries. This ‘no poaching agreement’ means that employees of Reliance Group and Adani Group will not get placements in each other’s group companies. This will prevent the employees of both the group companies from working in each other’s companies.

Meanwhile, both Adani Group and Reliance Industries have yet to comment or confirm the claims made in the report. A ‘no poaching agreement’ is not a new phenomenon among companies in India. Both groups operate in all sectors and are even rivals in some industries. Apart from this, Adani and Ambani Group have entered into a new deal as the moonlighting element in the Information and Technology (IT) sector is increasing.

Timing of the contract is important
According to a report, the agreement was signed in May this year and will be applicable to all businesses of the two companies. Competition between the two groups is gradually increasing. Adani Group is now slowly making inroads into businesses where Reliance Group is already a big name. The biggest example of this is last year’s entry of the Adani group into the petrochemicals sector with ‘Adani Petrochemicals Limited’, in which Reliance Industries has already been the largest player in the country for years.
