After assassination attempt on Imran Khan, protesters block major highways around Sialkot: Usman DarSEDI News

Protests have erupted in Pakistan’s major cities following an assassination attempt on former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan during his Long March, which left him shot in the leg.

Protests are also going on around Sialkot, noting that Usman Dar, former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, shared information about the ongoing protests, “All major highways of Sialkot after the assassination of Omar Khan. It has been closed! All access, internal and external, closed!” In which it is written that, “All major highways of Sialkot have been closed after the assassin attack on Imran Khan. All internal and external roads are closed!”

Not only the roads, but all other streets have been closed, and this has led to an almost lockdown-like situation.

Along with this, Usman Dar also shared another tweet along with a video, which read, “#SialkotLockdown against murderous politics on Chairman Imran Khan”, which means, “All of Sialkot against murderous attack on Chairman Imran Khan #SialkotLockdown. The protest continues on the highway.”

Meanwhile, one of the victims, who has really suffered from the situation around Sialkot, said, “Brother I was actually in Sialkot at that time and it took 8 hours to reach Lahore….. Huge number of protesters everywhere in Sialkot which I witnessed… “
