ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint News / Pakistan Point – 20th Nov, 2022 ) :Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Prof. Ahsan Iqbal categorically dismissed rumors related to fundamental threats, calling it “Pakistan’s propaganda Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)” for more politics.

The minister said that the country had adopted a path of stability and saved it from going into default. The minister made these comments while addressing the Pakistani community at the Pakistani Consulate in Jeddah, where the a large number of overseas Pakistanis had participated, according to a message received. here on sunday.

The government would soon introduce the death insurance scheme for overseas Pakistanis, he further informed the participants.

“The PTI has destroyed the country’s economy leading to economic crisis, but the current government has improved the economy by following the agreement with the IMF and for the last six months Pakistan has taken to the path of stability,” said the minister.

The news about Pakistan’s fundamental threat is based on a “malicious campaign started by the PTI which has no truth”. The current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif succeeded in removing Pakistan from the gray list, he said.

The minister also said that Pakistan had a long and brotherly relationship with Saudi Arabia which would continue in the same spirit.

We want to establish CPEC style economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, also stating that joint investment has been offered to China and Saudi Arabia under CPEC.

The minister also said that the government supports the right of Pakistanis to vote abroad, but it should be done without compromising the sanctity and security of the election process.

“A secure internet-based voting system is not yet in use in the world. However, several proposals are being considered, including a proposal to give representation to Pakistan abroad through special seats in the Parliament ,” said the minister.
