Buildings complete 43 new government inter colleges set to open from 2023 24 session rah mgb SEDI News

According to the announcements of Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of India’s largest state of Uttar Pradesh, the buildings of 43 newly constructed intermediate colleges in 30 districts of the state are now finally ready, although the preparation of these colleges has been many years. has been delayed. These include 39 Government Intermediate Colleges (GICs) and four Government Girls Intermediate Colleges (GGICs).

At present 898 Government Intermediate Colleges and Government Girls Intermediate Colleges are running in 75 districts of the state. All these 43 intermediate schools were announced three to four years ago. A total of Rs 2.77 crore was sanctioned for the construction of each of these schools from classes VI to XII. But due to several reasons including delay in budget allocation, the classes could not start on time.

According to official sources, the construction agencies have handed over the newly constructed buildings of these schools to the state secondary education department. These schools are expected to start functioning from the academic session of 2023-24. Accordingly, the state government has released Rs.2.15 crore for the purchase of furniture and equipment etc. for these schools.

Out of 43 schools, Badawan has the most four new intermediate colleges and Unnao has three colleges. Similarly, two schools each have been constructed in Sambhal, Lakhimpur, Kushinagar, Jaunpur, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Deoria and Gonda. Besides Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Agra, Bareilly, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Maharajganj, Saharanpur, Amethi, Shamli, Ferozabad, Bulandshahr, Ballia, Sant Kabir Nagar, Bahraich, Kas. One school each has been constructed in Ganj and Hardoi.

Along with all these 43 new intermediate colleges, the allotment grid report also lists the amount allotted to each of them. Procurement guidelines have also been sent to Finance and Accounts Officers of DIOS.
