Noida (UP), Sep 23 (PTI) A Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) inspector was arrested here on Friday for sending “inappropriate, derogatory” messages to a senior colleague and threatening to kill him. Gone.
Officials said that on the basis of the complaint of a Deputy Commissioner-level officer, an FIR was registered in the case at Phase-III police station on September 20, but the CGST inspector was absconding since then.
A local police officer said the complainant, a Deputy Commissioner of CGST of Noida and lives in Sector 121 of the city, had alleged that her subordinate inspector had sent her “inappropriate, derogatory messages on WhatsApp”.
“He also claimed that in his messages he had threatened to kill them,” the police officer said.
“The officer claimed that he was apprehensive of harm from the inspector and demanded police action against him. An FIR was registered on the basis of the complaint, after which the absconding accused was arrested on Friday.
Police said an FIR has been registered under sections 504, 506 and 509 (b) of the Indian Penal Code. Police said the accused was later produced in a local court from where he was remanded to judicial custody.
