Mumbai: The Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis, has attacked the Shiv Sena and is misleading the public by saying that Mumbai will be separated from Maharashtra as the elections are near. There is no need to fall into this illusion. Mumbai belongs to the Marathi people and will remain. Calling the citizens of Mumbai, he said that the corruption of Mumbai needs to be drowned in the Arabian Sea. Fadnavis also said that now there will be no ban on Marathi festivals and celebrations in Mumbai.

Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis was speaking as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of ‘Mumbai Morya’ Ganeshotsav competition on behalf of Mumbai BJP at Shivaji Temple in Dadar. He said that Lokmanya Bagangadhar Tilak had said 127 years ago that only ten days in a year all the Hindus of the state should unite in worshiping one deity. It can determine the future. Hindu festivals are celebrated all over the country, but the Marathi community itself is Ganesha devotees. Ganeshotsav is celebrated by giving a year’s tonic to the Marathi society.

Assessing the government’s performance, he said that it was only two and a half years. Now it is not a test match but a twenty-twenty match. You have to bat hard. To bring positive change in the lives of Mumbaikars.
