The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has claimed that there was no malpractice in the recruitment and promotion of municipal officials in the Pimpri Municipal Corporation and that all the proceedings were done according to the rules.

A few days ago, social activist Maruti Bhapkar had written to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to complain about the malpractices in many works in the municipality. Referring to it, the Administration Department of the Municipal Corporation has sent a written letter to Bhapkar.

For the recruitment of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, examinations are conducted by a private company. In this regard, the Corporation has entered into an agreement with the company. The expenditure in this regard has been approved. No illegal action has been taken in recruitment. Similarly, in the case of promotion of officials, the Municipal Corporation has said in the letter that all the rules and criteria have been followed as per the Municipal Corporation Act.
